How to maintain Tatami mat ?

Q:How to prevent mold being up?
A:The indoor humidity rises at time when rain continues in the rainy days.
Please ventilate in the room.
The incidence of mold decreases by enough ventilation.
･Please do not do the laundry drying in the Tatami mat room as much as possible.
･Do not use the carpet on the Tatami mat.
 The moisture that the rush grass absorbed cannot be emanated.
･Please do not leave the juice and coffee, etc. spilt on Tatami mat. It becomes the source of mold.

Q.How can I do if mold will be generated.
A:Our Tatami mat is mold prevent processing product.But it could not prevents mold be up because of natural material.
Mold might be generated when it is put on a damp place it
The indoor humidity that mold likes is about 60~80%.
If it mold will be generated,please vacuum gently along the rush grass after drying in the shadow during sunny day & surface dries.
Please take care flying the mold by the vacuum cleaner.
 
Q.Notes for storing Tatami mat.
Easy to store the Tatami mat in to the closet because of the size 82cm X 82cm.
Please consider to keep the few moisture & clean place.
We will recommend putting the desiccant, wrapping newspapers if the place is damp.
 
Q.How to remove the dirts?
･Spilling the soy sauce
Please sprinkle the salt at once when spilling it. After absorbing liquid by the salt,please wipe up that by dry dustcloth.Afterwards, please beat the part spilt with the dustcloth squeezed hard, and wipe enough by dry dustcloth.
･Spilling the juice and coffee.
Please wipe up that by dry dustcloth as soon as possible.
Please do not strongly wipe up that by the wet dustcloth.
･Spilling powers
Please vacuum gently along the rush grass eyes.
･Dirt by crayon
Please wipe that by dry dustcloth with applying a little amount of cream cleanser.
Please take care not to rub strongly.
 
Q.Should I dry Tatami mat ?
Yes.we recommend drying it.
Tatami mat is very weak on high moisture.
Please dry that in the shadow choosing the day when the weather is good for prevent generating mold.
Please do not dry that under the sunshine because the rush grass fiber becomes weak & the quality is worse.

Q.How to maintain Tatami mat usually ?
Please wipe up that by the dry dustcloth along the rush grass eyes.
Please do not use wet dustcloth because it causes mold to grow.
Please use vacuum it along the rush grass arrangement gently.
